The range of accommodations and amenities in Las Vegas offer something for nearly every taste, including visitors who seek a luxurious experience both in and out of the casino. In fact, in the last several years, Las Vegas has established its place among world's most plush destinations. It's impossible to list all the city offers, but  here's a taste of what's available when money is no object:

At Wynn Las Vegas, the attention to detail in service and amenities is evidenced by the fact that Wynn is the only casino resort in the world to have the Mobil Five Star and AAA Five Diamond rating. From designer name shopping such as Oscar de la Renta and Manolo Blahnik to an 18-hole private golf course and onsite Ferrari-Maserati dealership, the property is a luxury lovers' dream come true. Guests can sample award-winning fine dining from the likes of Daniel Boulud and Paul Bartolotta or partake in an evening of entertainment at Le Rêve. For those craving the ultimate in luxury, the new VIP Indulgence Package at Le Rêve offers an evening of extravagance with Perrier-Jouet champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, generously scaled lounge seating and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the show.

Whether cruising the pristine lake by yacht or gondola, dining in the elegant restaurants, strolling in the MonteLago Village boutiques, relaxing in the soothing spas, or playing the championship golf courses, a wealth of amenities await at Lake Las Vegas Resort. With luxury accommodations such as The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas and Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort, the destination, located just 17 miles from the Strip, is a secluded paradise for both its residents and its guests.

The newest luxury resort on the Las Vegas Strip, The Palazzo, is designed with the affluent traveler in mind. Every room in The Palazzo Las Vegas is a suite featuring a sunken living room, luxurious Egyptian linens from Anichini and remote-controlled Roman shades and curtains with first-of-its-kind 'touch control' technology. Anchored by a flagship, 85,000-square-foot Barneys New York, The Shoppes at The Palazzo have more than 60 luxury boutiques and even a Lamborghini showroom.

The Chairman Suite at sister property The Venetian is considered the property's crème de la crème at 8,500 square feet. Upon entry, guests step onto a black Java Stone floor, inset with semi-precious stones. The bathroom sink is made from onyx with all plumbing fixtures made from platinum. The suite also includes a living room, dining room, media room, two master bedrooms, two additional bedrooms and a workout room, complete with a dry sauna and steam room.

Meanwhile, at MGM Grand, Skylofts are not only considered luxurious, but come with a staff to prove it. Ranging in size from 1,400 to 6,000 square feet, Skylofts offer a 24-hour butler service designed to indulge guests in the fine art of relaxation. Want to relax to some music? The Music Butler is specially trained in iPod technology to assist guests with all aspects of SkyLoft's sophisticated music system. Looking for the perfect night's sleep? The Villa and Forum Penthouse Suites at Caesars Palace are decadent spaces that can either be split into two or four separate suites, or combined all into one, resulting in one 45,000-square-foot suite with 14 bedrooms, eight bathrooms and unique amenities such as a private cigar bar, billiards room and full fitness studio. High-tech toys are found through the suites as well, such as heated bathroom floors and toilet seats and laser Karaoke machines.

At Palms Casino Resort, experience the ultimate in luxury with a variety of over-the-top, themed fantasy suites. From the Kingpin Suite featuring two, full-size bowling lanes to a 10,000-square-foot Hardwood Suite complete with a basketball half-court, the elite indulge in "the good life".Sitting atop the Fantasy Tower is the Hugh Hefner Sky Villa featuring an outdoor, cantilevered Playboy Jacuzzi pool with a view of the Strip, a fully equipped gym with sauna, a glass elevator, poker table and much more.

As for what's next for the Las Vegas Strip, it's not about millions, but billions. MGM Mirage is building what's being billed as the single largest private investment in U.S. history—the $7 billion CityCenter. Scheduled to open in 2009, the 66-acre development will include a 60-story, 4000-room hotel-casino and a ebony-condominium tower with 1,543 units. In addition, there will be two, 400-room non-gaming boutique hotels operated by Mandarin Oriental and the Light Group. In the center will be 500,000 square feet of retail and two glass-condominium towers with 810 lofts.

Plan of Echelon

Another multi-billion property in the works is the $4 billion Echelon. Boyd Gaming's 63-acre, multi-faceted complex is scheduled to open the following year. Located on the north end of the Strip, it will replace the classic Las Vegas property, The Stardust, which was imploded in 2007. Echelon Place will bring together four distinct luxury hotel brands including Shangri-La, Delano, Mondrian and the new Echelon Resort. Together, the hotels will have 5,300 guest rooms and suites and a retail promenade of more than 350,000 square feet.
